House prices in Portugal hit new record

The prices for homes in Portugal increased by 13.2% in the second three months of this year (April-June inclusive) in comparison with the same period last year – hitting a new historic maximum, says INE (national statistics institute). The “rhythm of foreigners buying homes in Portugal also increased”, says the institute – with 58% of all transactions going ahead within the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon and the North.
