Lisbon march against poverty ‘cancelled due to criticism’

A march scheduled to have taken place on October 17 in Lisbon to commemorate International day for the Eradication of Poverty has been cancelled due to criticism. The plan, explains SIC, was for the capital’s homeless and vulnerable to take part in the event (which was to have ended with a picnic). But parish councils have stressed they do not want these people ‘exposed’ in such a way.
