Three British women, aged 35, 39 and 40, were arrested in Lagoa on Saturday for “aggressions” against two GNR agents. Tabloid Correio da Manhã says the agents were called to a “commercial space” (shop/ shopping centre) after an alert about thefts. “They were received with insults from the suspects”, says the paper. One of the agents “suffered head wounds, the other was bitten on his hand. The women were given ‘arguido’ (official suspect) status and “notified to appear in court” on Monday.
