Portugal’s Union of Judicial Officers (SJF) has pledged to press ahead with a strike planned to start tomorrow, on the same basis as it was called – rejecting allegations of illegality made by the Directorate-General of the Administration of Justice (DGAJ), and accusing DGAJ of intimidation. “We are convinced of the rightness of our struggle and we will do everything in our power to confront all those who want to question the just and free right of workers to demonstrate,” said SFJ president António Marçal at a news conference at the union’s headquarters in Lisbon today.
