Hundreds run for better salaries and working conditions

Celebrating Labour Day today, hundreds have taken part in a 15km run in Lisbon for better salaries and working conditions. Explain reports, the cause extends to equality for women (whose salaries are often below those of male counterparts), and a call for decent pensions and better work opportunities for young people. A number of those running today were people who served jailtime during the dictatorship for daring to stand up for ‘liberty’ and the concept of equal rights.
