Two young men, aged 19 and 24, are behind bars today following the stabbing of a 21-year-old man on a beach bar terrace overlooking Matosinhos beach yesterday afternoon. The victim of the attack is understood to have suffered a perforated lung. He is being treated in hospital. The two suspects – reported to have ‘fled the scene’ – were detained “about a kilometre away” by Maritime Police. They will be presented before a magistrate to hear bail terms later today.
