A 73-year-old man was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Faro on Tuesday (July 5).
A driver who was speeding down Rua Pintor Carlos Porfírio towards Rotunda Romântica allegedly lost control of his vehicle, resulting in it skidding and flipping over before hitting the elderly man at around 7.20pm.
The man became trapped under the car’s hood as several people tried to lift the car to get him out.
The victim, as well as the 37-year-old driver who sustained minor injuries, were taken to Faro Hospital.
