Flooding in Portalegre hospital “doesn’t affect clinical work”

An impromptu flood in Portalegre hospital due to burst piping early this morning “has not affected the clinical activity of the health unit”, a statement from the hospital has promptly reported. The sudden whoosh of water caused infiltrations into the surgical bloc, kitchen/ eating area and a store room, two ‘false ceilings’ came down, but no-one was hurt – and repairs are already underway.
