PwC to study rail link impact on tourism in high-speed rail link

Portugal’s road and rail infrastructure manager, Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP), has contracted consultancy firm PwC, for a sum of €74,000, to carry out a study on the potential tourism impact of the Porto-Lisbon and Porto-Vigo high-speed railway lines, according to public procurement portal Base. Jornal de Negocios reports today that the project “risks losing a billion in European funds” if the government falls, since if the public tender “isn’t launched in January, the project won’t have the required level of development” to apply for European funds
