Sweet Christmas at Mar Shopping Algarve
An especially sweet Christmas is promised at Mar Shopping Algarve, which has unveiled its own unique Christmas village entitled ‘Candyland Christmas‘.
Those looking to hand their Christmas letter to Santa will be able to find him surrounded by snowmen, teddy bears, and squirrels in a charming cupcake-like house.
Candyland Christmas is described as “a whimsical journey into imagination and dreams, featuring a candy factory with three pastry elves, creative workshops with benches and tables adorned with sweets, and a sustainable ice rink,” which stands out for consuming zero water or electricity.
According to Ana Antunes, manager of Mar Shopping Algarve, Candyland Christmas “was designed to offer the best immersive experience during the Christmas season, a space filled with light, colour, music, and lots of entertainment, offering visitors a space to create ‘sweet’ and Christmas memories to share with family and friends.”
In the spirit of giving, Mar Shopping Algarve has partnered with Make-A-Wish Portugal for a charitable campaign which aims to raise €2,500 to fulfill the wishes of seriously ill children and young people. Visitors can contribute through QR codes available in the shopping area until January 7, 2024.
The shopping centre in Loulé is also organising two charity initiatives: the Solidarity Pantry and Solidarity Wardrobe. Donations of food and essential goods can be made at the shopping centre to help struggling families supported by the following institutions and associations: Refood Almancil, G.A.T.O, Animal Rescue Algarve, and Portuguese Red Cross. Meanwhile, donations of clothes, blankets, and quilts will go to those in need supported by the Entrajuda Association.
