The 66th edition of World Press Photo 2023 (featuring the winning shots this year) will be opening on December 21 in Oeiras, Lisbon, and free to all-comers until January 20. The exhibition venue is Alameda’s Parque dos Poetas, and the winners this year chose themes that ‘call attention to some of 2022’s leading questions, namely climate change, community and the impact on civilians of war’. Thirty photographers from 23 countries (South Africa, Germany, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Belgium China, Denmark, Spain, United States of America, Equador, Egypt, the Philippines, France, Greece, Iran, Italy, Morocco, Mexico, Myanmar, Peru, Ukraine and Venezuela) were awarded this year.
