Recent judicial shocks – not least the release of three suspects in the investigation into political corruption in Madeira – have seen former PSD leader Rui Rio ‘break cover’ today to defend “greater scrutiny of justice”. A man who has already deeply-criticised the actions of public prosecutors when they searched his own home not long ago, and then during Operation Influencer, he says he believes the Attorney General should step down as, in his opinion, she is not doing a good job.
