Meet the Slings brothers, Sem 23 and Max 25, two young entrepreneurs from Holland…
Sem had graduated to become an interior designer, Max was working in dredging… Remembering wise counsel from their uncle, that “three trains come by in life – it’s up to you whether you get on or not”, they decided to gamble their future to try something different. And not coffee, like the other Dutch Bros.
Slings Brothers: “An outdoor living company we knew of wanted to open more outlets – we suggested they open in southern Portugal. Then we took the lead, quit our jobs, hit the road, and raced to the Algarve…
… After travelling the length of the N125, visiting countless stores looking for the right place, a tip-off led us to a showroom in Quarteira. We had no idea about leasing property, registering companies and handling red tape. But we gambled, and paid a deposit to secure the building, as it was better than expected…
… We recalled a Dutch tycoon operating an outdoor living outlet in Marbella, so we drove there and got ideas. Finally, our parents found a local Dutch accountant who did all the paperwork and fixed us. Now we’re here!”
