Algarve Trade Experience mixes football, wine and spirits

The tenth edition of the Algarve Trade Experience, the biggest wine and spirits event organised by Garrafeira Soares, takes place at the Algarve Stadium on February 26 and 27.

This European Championship year, the tenth edition of the Algarve Trade Experience is back on February 26 and 27 with a football theme to encourage team spirit and unity in the sector.

Organised by Garrafeira Soares, the event is taking place at the Algarve Stadium in Loulé/Faro. It brings together more than 3000 professionals, including winemakers, producers, bartenders, brand builders, and over 500 brands, including the biggest world references for wine and spirits, and intends to dictate the mixology trends for the coming years.

Considered the most significant drinks show dedicated to the trade market, the Algarve Trade Experience will host some of the biggest names in the sector, such as Daniel Niepoort, António Maçanita and Luís Duarte, for exclusive tastings, masterclasses and workshops.

“The Algarve Trade Experience is achieving an unparalleled impact in the sector, at a national level, and is a strategic moment to promote new ideas, businesses, and contacts”, highlights Rita Soares, CEO of Garrafeira Soares, adding that they “want producers, partners and the tourism sector to feel our energy and see us as a true team. We are together to highlight what is good in Portugal, in the world of wines and spirits, and how good our hotels and restaurants’ hospitality is“.

The football and drinks party, in which the final whistle will dictate the future path for the sector, also promises plenty of entertainment, music and many surprises, such as the presentation of new products from the biggest drinks brands in the country.

As has also become customary, the Algarve Trade Experience is itinerant. In recent editions, it was hosted at iconic locations in the Algarve, “which inspire us to do more and better for the region”, says the organisation. “This year, the Algarve Stadium marks 20 years since the first game of the Euro 2004. It fits perfectly with the theme chosen for the event, which also aims to encourage movement, share the importance of practising sports and team spirit, and essential values for a balanced life and for solid and healthy companies.

The tenth edition of the Algarve Trade Experience also opens its doors to the public on both days at 18h00. Tickets cost €25 per day and can be purchased at FNAC and WORTEN stores. Fifty per cent of the amount raised through the sale of tickets will be donated to two special sports institutions in the Algarve.
