Theme park will unveil a new show soon and a new ride this summer
Guia theme park Zoomarine will reopen on March 7 with “novelties and surprises for the whole family.”
To celebrate the reopening, a special campaign is underway offering a 20% discount on tickets purchased until March 6.
Chief among the novelties promised is a new “vibrant music, colour and light show” entitled Upbeat, which will be unveiled on March 21 and is described as an “engaging experience which will flood the senses with joy and positive energy.
A new ride inspired by the Iguazu Falls, a series of waterfalls along the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná, is also planned to be inaugurated in the summer.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy Zoomarine’s usual presentations which aim to highlight the work that the theme park carries out in terms of rescuing, rehabilitating and returning marine animals to the wild.
“Environmental education is inseparable from the park’s mission,” Zoomarine says in a statement to the press.
Zoomarine has also highlighted the work it has carried out to make the park more environmentally sustainable, stressing that it invested in a pioneering system to capture seawater in 2014, which helped “ensure the highest standard of animal well-being” and supply the park’s water attractions. Last year, the park also unveiled a new irrigation system using recycled wastewater.
“These measures allow us to save around 85,000 cubic metres of water annually, covering 90% of the park’s needs in terms of water resources, be it for the maintenance of green spaces, zoological habitats or water attractions,” the theme park says.
“Each visitor of Zoomarine, apart from having the opportunity to enjoy unforgettable family moments, will also be supporting animal conservation and rehabilitation projects,” says Zoomarine, adding that part of the ticket sales goes to organisations such as Yaqu Pacha, World Parrot Trust and Marine Mega Fauna Foundation.
