Bishop of Setúbal Américo Aguiar has added his thoughts to the melting pot of reactions to yesterday’s ‘paint attack’ on PSD leader Luís Montenegro, considering that it was not only ‘unacceptable’ , but the ‘thin end of the wedge’. “One day it won’t be paint. One day it will be more serious, and without return”, he ventured. Climate activists have tested the patience of politicians for a good while now, and Luís Montenegro has formally pressed charges against this particular group which, as he pointed out, ‘could have tried talking’ to him, before spattering him liberally in green paint.
