The price of houses nationally increased by 11.8% in 2023, while the price of residential property in Lisbon rose by 6.3% compared to the year before. According to Expresso, the combined Metropolitan Area of Lisbon registered one of the lowest appreciation rates among the 18 municipalities in the region.
