Porto students wheeling travel bags protest at prospect of emigration

Around 200 university students demonstrated in Porto today wheeling travel bags against the prospect of emigration/ lack of accommodation and other problems faced by ‘Generation 30’ – so called because since 2011, graduates have lost 30% of their purchasing power. Today’s protest was part of National Student Day, which is being celebrated on Sunday, writes Lusa. The students wheeled their travel bags from Trindade to Aliados “in silence, with only the sound of their travelling bags audible until they reached Praça General Humberto Delgado”.
