CGTP general secretary Tiago Oliveira today expressed his conviction that 25 April and 1 May will bring “great moments of affirmation for workers” in order to increase wages and combat precariousness. The CGTP is a Communist-backed trade union confederation. It met today with PCP communists to present the main guidelines of its 15th congress in which it will be pushing the case for increasing the national minimum wage to €1,000 this year.
