After the confusion during the March 10 legislative elections between AD and ADN (a tiny political party that miraculously gained an enormous number of votes last month), Portugal’s government has decided to ‘change its name’ for the European elections (on June 9, in this country). The party will be presented as ‘AD – Aliança Democrática’, thus hopefully giving its voters no reason to put their crosses on a party that manifests as ‘ADN’. All parties are choosing their European candidates this week.
