Portuguese ‘safari’ in Namibia ends in tragedy

Two Portuguese citizens died, and at least 20 others suffered injuries, when the tour bus they were on, on a ‘safari holiday’ through Namibia, West Africa, collided with another bus, carrying tourists of various nationalities, on dunes in the desert above Walvis Bay. President Marcelo has been ‘kept informed’ of this incident in which at least one other passenger is also understood to have died “on the way to hospital”. The nationality of this passenger has not been confirmed. The Portuguese citizens involved are all believed to have come from the area of Porto.
