One of the day’s developing ‘scandals’ is the purchase, by the PS government, one day after the legislative elections last month that topped it, of a property in Guarda for more than a million euros. This far, the ‘promissory contract’ has been signed (reportedly before even the decision to purchase was ‘formalised’), with the final purchase apparently due today. SIC Notícias reports that the new Minister for Social Security, Rosário Palma Ramalho, is ‘analysing the deal, but has not yet come to any decision. Her predecessor Ana Mendes Godinho “has not responded to contacts made by SIC”, says the station.
