The east Algarve’s first Living in the Algarve seminar event will be held at the Vila Galé Tavira hotel on Thursday, May 23.
This will be the second of five such events planned for this year in the Algarve, following last week’s event at the Tivoli Carvoeiro Hotel. “Our events are going from strength to strength and we are very excited to be finally expanding the programme to include Tavira.
Last week’s event was the biggest and best yet with a total of 16 companies welcoming close to 200 people” said Bruce Hawker, CEO of Open Media, publishers of the Portugal Resident and organisers of the event.
The full-day programme is divided into two identical sessions, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, providing visitors with information on subjects such as residency visas, legal and taxation issues, healthcare, health insurance, real estate, currency exchange and senior living. Visitors have the opportunity to sit in on presentations as well as meet the speakers face to face with complimentary coffee breaks and wine tasting.
Taking part in the Tavira event are AFPOP, Portugal’s foreign residents association, Medal Insurance, CSI Tavira International School, The Sovereign Group, Fine & Country, TPA Advogados, Currencies 4 You, LifePlan Resorts, Global International relocations, The Spectrum IFA Group and local media partners East Algarve magazine. This is the third year of the Living in the Algarve events with Tavira added to the annual schedule of seminars in Carvoeiro, Lagos, Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura. Open Media also organises the popular Living in Portugal roadshow events in countries such as the USA, Canada and South Africa.
