An emigré from Bangladesh fled Sweden following the rape of a 14-year-old girl, to take refuge within a Hindustani community in Amadora, where he managed to become legalised, writes Correio da Manhã today. However, PJ police, working on an international arrest warrant, managed to locate the suspect, and arrest him. He is now in preventive custody awaiting extradition. According to the PJ, the man, aged 22, could face a jail term in Sweden of up to six years. Little is being said of how it was possible for him to become legalised in Portugal.
