Lots of water-based fun to be had
The second Faro Nautical Week is taking place until Sunday (May 12), providing a glimpse of the many activities that can be enjoyed at Faro’s Nautical Station.
Open to everyone, the event will feature everything from boat trips to water sports such as canoeing, sailing, surfing or stand-up paddling, as well as gastronomic experiences, kitesurf “baptisms”, exhibitions, visits to museums and the Cabo de Santa Maria lighthouse and awareness campaigns. Some local hotels and tourist establishments will also be offering special discounts during the event.
The Faro Nautical Station is described as a “platform of cooperation between over 60 public and private partners” who together offer a “tourist product based on a network of quality nautical tourism”.
The full programme of the Faro Nautical Week can be consulted online.
