Rescued from a well last year, arrested for attempted murder this year

Last summer 21-year-old Gonçalo Côto was rescued after four days stuck down a well. This week he is in preventive custody on suspicion of attempted murder – and bizarrelyPJ inspector who helped rescue him last July is the PJ inspector who this week arrested him. Côto was caught on CCTV cameras in Vila Real involved in a skirmish with another young man who ended up stabbed, writes Correio da Manhã. The victim has been admitted to hospital. Côto was arrested yesterday, “in the office of his lawyer”, says the paper.
