Mariza’s latest single’s music video, released on all digital music platforms last Friday, was filmed against the stunning backdrop of Tavira, Lagoa, and Lagos’ beaches and clifftops.
“Desamor feat GSON” is the first single to be released from her upcoming album “Amor”, set to be launched later this year.
Featuring on the track with her, Gerson de Jesus da Costa António, who goes by the stage name GSON, is a rapper born in Margem Sul, south of Lisbon, most notably a member of the musical collective Wet Bed Gang.
The music video for the song was shot in the breathtaking natural settings of the Algarve, featuring the stunning white sandy beaches of Tavira, the iconic Benagil cave in Lagoa, and picturesque clifftops in Lagos.
The new song, a compilation of two musical genres and the two artists’ voices, was composed by Gonzalo Tau, Guerra, Riic Wolf and João Pedro Ruela. The lyrics were written by Gonzalo Tau, Tyoz, Riic Wolf and João Pedro Ruela, and the music was produced by Guerra.
Following a Europe-wide tour, Mariza will return to the Algarve on August 10 to perform at the Mar Me Quer Festival in Portimão.
