Portugal’s National Road Safety Authority (ANSR) and PSP and GNR police launched have the ‘Viajar sem pressa’ (Travelling without haste) campaign, which runs until next Tuesday and aims to alert drivers to the risks of speeding.
The awareness and enforcement campaign, part of the 2024 National Enforcement Plan (PNF), is the sixth of 12 planned for this year that are to be held monthly, according to a joint statement from the ANSR, the PSP and the GNR.
As part of the campaign, the ANSR will be carrying out awareness-raising activities throughout the country, while enforcement operations, “with a special focus on roads and accesses with a high traffic flow”, will be the responsibility of the PSP and GNR.
