The Bank of Portugal will release a ‘collector’s coin’ dedicated to the country’s legendary rock bank Xutos e Pontapés on September 4. The country’s mint (Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda) will present 30,000 coins in copper nickel and 2,000 in gold. They will have a face value of €5. For fans of the band celebrating its 45th anniversary, the added bonus is that the coin’s design is the work of the band’s guitar player Tó Trips.
