CHEGA/ Madeira ready to vote against minority PSD government’s programme

With CHEGA’s main party still crestfallen today (because of the European election results), its adjunct in Madeira is full of fire, announcing that it will be voting against the programme of the minority PSD government recently sworn into office, because (as the regional party sees it) Miguel Albuquerque “does not have the conditions to be in office”. President of CHEGA/ Madeira Miguel Castro explains: “Miguel Albuquerque doesn’t have the political or ethical conditions to lead the government of the autonomous region of Madeira. He is a defendant in a judicial process that implicates him in tentacular networks of influence and games of interest, which cannot exist in governance, much less be rewarded with silence or parliamentary complacency”.
