Event is “a postcard of the unmistakable Algarve lifestyle”
The main players of the boating industry have come together for the 27th edition of the Vilamoura Marina International Boat Show, which started last weekend and runs until Sunday (June 16).
Taking place at the award-winning Vilamoura Marina, the event provides visitors with an opportunity to learn about the nautical sector’s latest novelties.
Exhibitors include nautical companies selling new and semi-new (brokerage) boats as well as representatives from brands of accessories, equipment, and integrated services. All in all, over 100 boats are taking part in the event.
Buyers, investors, business partners, professionals and enthusiasts of all things sea-related and recreational boating activities, media members, sector regulators, tourists and members of the public are among the approximately 80,000 visitors who have attended the event every year since 1997.
The event is also promoted as “a unique exhibition of Portugal’s nautical sector as well as a postcard of the unmistakable Algarve lifestyle” and plays an important role in the development of the local economy, boosting sectors such as hotels, restaurants, transport and services in general.
Stands manned by representatives from Vilamoura Marina, the Vilamoura Bureau, the Vilamoura Nautical Station, Docapesca, the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA), the Vilamoura Marina International Club, and the Vela Solidária project can be visited at the event’s Institutional Lounge, while partner brands of the Boat Show will be located at the Sailor’s Lounge.
The event is free to visit and runs from 11am to 9pm.
