Brazilian twins: former PS leader to be heard by parliamentary commission

CHEGA submitted a request for the hearing of former prime minister António Costa by the commission of inquiry into the twins’ debacle. Inês Sousa Real of PAN said her party would not back the call, on the basis that she believes the party of André Ventura wants to “scupper” the possibility of Mr Costa clinching the post of president of the European Council. PS Socialists on the commission felt the same way, reports SIC Notícias, but voting saw the request pass: Mr Costa is to be called to address the commission, as is Nuno Rebelo de Sousa (for a second time…)
