In the first five months of this year, one in five drivers caught by PSP police driving over the alcohol limit are people who have had their licences for less than three years (in other words, they are young people, drink driving, on what is considered a ‘provisional licence’ during which time any convictions automatically see them banned from driving and issued with stiff fines).
