25 soldiers receiving treatment in Portugal to meet Speaker
Speaker of Portugal’s parliament José Pedro Aguiar Branco will be receiving the 25 Ukrainian war wounded who arrived in Portugal last Friday to continue with their rehabilitation treatment.
The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday). The group is also scheduled to “assist in a parliamentary debate with prime minister Luís Montenegro”.
Their initial reception is scheduled for 2pm, with the debate taking place an hour later.
The army veterans, a number amputees, are being treated in the world’s first ‘Support Centre for Ukrainian War Wounded’, set up by the association for Ukrainian refugees (UAPT) in Ourém.
