Live music, fire shows and a stunning sunset have made the event a summer classic
Next Thursday (July 4) marks the return of Sunset Secrets, an event which every summer brings live entertainment to Silves Castle and showcases its stunning sunset.
Jass singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Inês Loubet will be the first performer of the new season on July 4, followed by Carvoeiro icon Beto Kalulu on July 11, the Garvefole Orchestra on July 18, Luis Capitão and Leonardo Pisco on July 25 and The Protons on August 1.
The event, which takes place from 6.30pm to 11pm and has a capacity for 600 people, will also shine the spotlight on regional cuisine, particularly Silves’ famously juicy oranges and its locally produced wines. Relaxing massages, dance performances and a fire show are also part of the festivities.
Tickets cost €5 per person and can be purchased online on the BOL platform and at the usual outlets such as FNAC, Worten, El Corte Inglês, CTT post offices, Pousada youth hostels, and Serveasy kiosks. Silves residents can purchase tickets for €2 but only on-side upon proof of residence. Admission is free for children aged 12 and under.
