Street food takes centre stage in Boliqueime

Boliqueime Food Fest takes place between July 26 and 28

The countdown has begun for Boliqueime Food Fest, the annual gastronomic event which combines street food, live music and gastronomy.

Taking place between Friday, July 26 and Sunday, July 28 from 7.30pm to 2am at the square near the local fairground, the event has become a popular summer attraction for the village.

“This event is an excellent opportunity for visitors to enjoy a wide variety of delicious delicacies, have fun with musical performances, and explore unique handmade products,” organisers say.

There will be over 30 stalls and food trucks selling all kinds of street food, from Portuguese classics to a selection of dishes from around the world, as well as sweets.

The fair also features live music performances, with reggae inspiring the first night with concerts by Algarve-based Charlice Bwoy & The Jah Army Band and Quem é o Bob – Bob Marley Tribute. DJ Beecuts will bring the show to a close.

On Saturday, July 27, musical entertainment will be provided by indie rock band The Black Teddys and The Peakles, who will be paying tribute to the Beatles, followed by DJ Ulisse Dapa.

For the final day of BFF, Portuguese singer Viviane will be the headlining act, supported by performances by Marc Noah and DJ Special K.
