Lota Cool Market will be held from July 24 to 28
The Lota Cool Market is returning to Portimão’s riverside between July 24 and 28 with a “very special edition” which will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Portimão’s city status.
Promising to be a meeting point for families, children and youngsters, the event will take place the old fish market known as ‘Lota’ from 6pm to 2am near and will feature live music and an “inclusive environment” which values local producers and Portuguese brands.
Like in previous editions, the Lota Cool Market will feature several “unique gastronomic experiences”, with food trucks serving a variety of international street food as well as Portuguese classics.

Sustainability plays a key role in the event, which aims to fight food waste and promote recycling among visitors. Meanwhile, an accessible bar counter will be unveiled this year for visitors with mobility issues.
Concerts will begin every night at 10pm, while street entertainment will run from 6pm to 9.30pm.

The Lota Cool Market is organised by Teia d’Impulsos with the support of the municipal council of Portimão and the Algarve tourism board (RTA).
