Total revenue from tourist accommodation rose by 12.2% year-on-year to €2.08 billion as of May, Statistics Portugal (INE) announced today. Between January and May, there were 11.3 million guests and 27.7 million overnight stays in Portugal, equivalent to respective increases of 5.3% and 4.4% compared to the same period in 2023. The average stay in Portugal was 2.45 nights, 0.9% less than a year earlier.
