Festival F returns with star-studded Portuguese line-up

Festival F is described as the “last big festival of the summer”

Some of Portugal’s most popular musical acts will be travelling to the Algarve in September to perform at the ninth edition of Faro’s Festival F.

Every year, the festival brings together a star-studded line-up of many of the country’s most successful bands and artists, attracting thousands of festivalgoers at a time when the Algarve is still packed with tourists.

From singer-songwriters such as Carolina Deslandes and Tiago Bettencourt to rappers such as Dillaz and T-Rex, this year’s line-up will also feature performances by Fado singer Carminho and pop singer Marisa Liz, as well as Portuguese supergroup Resistência and rock band Capitão Fausto which will perform alongside the Algarve Orchestra.

Described as the “last big festival of the summer,” Festival F will take place between September 5 and 7 and will also include performative arts, markets, exhibitions and talks.

A total of 1,000 tickets will be available for pre-sale from Friday, July 19 to Tuesday, July 30 at special prices: €20 for daily tickets and €45 for three-day passes. After this date, or once all special tickets have been sold, the prices increase to €22 for daily tickets and €54 for a three-day pass. Tickets can be purchased online or at the usual outlets. Admission is free for children aged 12 and under.
