Former aide involved in ‘ministerial punch-up’ made official ‘arguido’

Former government aide Frederico Pinheiro (briefly a household name following one of the most bizarre incidents of António Costa’s government) has been officially made an ‘arguido’ (suspect in a criminal investigation) following a PJ police ‘swoop’ on his home earlier this week. It is understood that Pinheiro is suspected of gaining illegitimate access to classified documents. Explain reports, PJ investigators have concluded that, among other infractions, he made copies of the ‘recovery plan’ for State airline TAP before giving up his computer to agents of SIS (Portugal’s internal security service), following his sacking, and the famous ministry punch-up.
