Education minister Fernando Alexandre has announced that national tests and exams will in future be corrected digitally, and in secondary stage education, each correcting teacher will evaluate only one item, not the whole test – to ensure greater fairness. This is the most radical change in the new external assessment model announced today, in which Mr Alexandre “guaranteed” that secondary school exams will continue to be done on paper, but their assessment will become digital.
