The association aims to transform the Algarve into a thriving innovation centre
Algarve Evolution, a non-profit private association “focused on nurturing the Algarve’s innovation ecosystem”, has announced Joaquim Nascimento as its new President for the 2024-2027 term.
Joaquim Nascimento, CEO of Vanguard Strategy, brings extensive international experience in strategic consulting within the healthcare and consumer goods sectors. He assumes leadership of Algarve Evolution during a pivotal growth phase for the association.
“I am thrilled to take on the presidency of Algarve Evolution,” states Joaquim Nascimento. “The Algarve has immense potential to become an international innovation hub. Through collaboration, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, and sharing expertise, we can energize the regional ecosystem and propel the growth of startups and innovative companies.”
Algarve Evolution expresses “sincere gratitude for the significant contributions of the outgoing board, led by Miguel Rocha Fernandes. Their vision, dedication, and tireless efforts have been instrumental in establishing the association as a cornerstone of innovation support and regional development in the Algarve”.
Under its new leadership, Algarve Evolution reaffirms its commitment to building upon the strong foundation laid in recent years. The association aims to “accelerate its mission of transforming the Algarve into a thriving innovation centre by promoting skill-sharing, cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit, and invigorating the regional innovation ecosystem”.
Algarve Evolution is a community of more than 70 companies and individuals dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship to students and adults, building skills, and nurturing the regional ecosystem growth, the goal is to empower entrepreneurs and companies to develop global solutions right from the Algarve.
