PJ detain man in Madeira evading international arrest warrant for sexually abusing own daughter

PJ police have executed an international arrest warrant issued in Nepal for a 51-year-old man suspected of “crimes of sexual abuse and against the liberty and sexual autodetermination of his own daughter”. The case dates back almost a decade, and relates to the years 2015 – 2018, having allegedly started when the victim was only 10 years old. Identified and arrested in Funchal, Madeira, the man is now in preventive custody “awaiting the extradition process”.
