The Parish Council’s rehabilitation plan also includes building a pedestrian walkway in Alcalar and improving water efficiency in schools.
An inter-administrative agreement worth approximately €119,000 has been signed between the Municipality of Portimão and Mexilhoeira Grande Parish Council. The deal foresees the rehabilitation of a warehouse located on Rua da Igreja, in the centre of the town, to host leisure, cultural and religious activities.
Portimão’s City Council added that, as part of the agreement, a pedestrian walkway will be constructed on the Caminho Municipal 1146, between Quinta da Mimosa and Alcalar.
Additionally, in Figueira and Mexilhoeira Grande, a water efficiency scheme will see new taps with timers installed in kindergartens and primary schools to replace the old ones.
