16-year-old sought for fatal stabbing of Guinean man

A 16-year-old boy is being sought by police following the fatal stabbing of a 41-year-old Guinean man in a café in Loures earlier this week. According to reports, Sampol Carala had insulted the proprietor of the café – the youth’s mother – and ‘pushed the youth’. The unnamed teenager was allegedly seen grabbing a kitchen knife and using it to stab Carala in the back. The knife has been ‘apprehended’ by police and forensic testing effected. Correio da Manhã says police’s first priority has been to ‘consolidate evidence’. Investigators believe the youth will surrender himself to authorities in his own time.
