Industrial turnover in Portugal in July was up 2.5% on the previous month but was down 3.5% on July of 2023, contrasting with the 1.6% year-on-year increase recorded in June of this year, National Statistics Institute INE announced today. The drop resulted from a fall in sales to both the domestic and foreign markets, said INE, adding that all industrial groupings considered in the index – namely energy, intermediate goods, consumer goods and investment goods – recorded negative year-on-year variations in July.
