Faro City Council has joined the “Cheque Veterinário” (Veterinary Check) programme, aimed at providing veterinary care for “at-risk” pet animals, including vaccination, deworming, and sterilisation.
In partnership with the Veterinary Medical Association, the initiative targets stray animals captured by the Faro Animal Rescue Center (CROAF) and cats under municipal care, as well as pets from low-income families.
Participating veterinary centres will be listed on the Veterinary Medical Association’s website.
