Three men were arrested on Lisbon’s April 25 bridge following a dramatic car chase from Fátima, where they were presumed to have led a number of assaults on jewellery shops. Traffic had to be stopped in both directions, and there was a degree of chaos as the men abandoned their vehicle and made off in different directions on foot. The operation, led by PJ police with the back-up of PSP, was 100% successful, in that stolen items were also recovered, plus a firearm.
