Around 20 Portuguese citizens are being evacuated today from Lebanon as Israel continues to pound the country in its conflict with Hezbollah. A source for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not given many details (for the sake of security) but has confirmed that the evacuation will be taking place at some point during Friday (ie before midnight tonight). Plans for this evacuation have been in place for some days, the prime minister intimated when questioned this week about nationals caught up in the conflict.
