Aimed at professionals, the event organised by the Algarve Wine Commission (CVA) focuses on promoting the region’s wines.
The Algarve Wine Commission (CVA) is hosting the first edition of the Algarve Wine Session, an event dedicated to promoting the region’s wines.
The premiere will take place on Monday, October 14, at the Hilton Vilamoura. Aimed at professionals in the wine and tourism sector, this event promises to provide a unique experience with a series of activities related to Algarve oenology and gastronomy.
The Algarve Wine Session will feature an exclusive selection of wines from around 30 regional producers, including award-winning labels and new vintages, which participants will have the opportunity to taste.
Among the most anticipated moments of the event are two masterclasses entitled “Taste and Convince” and “Wine by the Glass”, which will be led by sector experts to explore the particularities of wine tasting and presentation.
In addition to the tasting and training sessions, the event will include a panel discussion on “Increasing the supply of local products”, where wine and tourism professionals will debate the importance of promoting the region’s products.
The event will also be a networking opportunity, bringing together producers, sommeliers, wine critics, and restaurant and hotel professionals in a space where they can share experiences and strengthen partnerships.
The CVA, which has been promoting the quality of Algarve wines since 1994, continues to work on certifying products with Denomination of Origin Lagos, Portimão, Lagoa and Tavira, as well as the Algarve Geographical Indication.
In recent years, the region has witnessed a notable growth in the number of producers, vineyard area, and the quality of wines produced, reinforcing its presence in national and international markets.
According to the CVA, the Algarve Wine Session represents another step in promoting the excellence of Algarve wines and strengthening oenological tourism in the region.
